Edges – Being creative is all about doing something you’ve not done before or saying something you’ve not said before. It’s an experiment, a challenge! It’s about that deep intake of breath and doing it anyway because the risk is worth it and “staying is nowhere”

35 people, 11 countries, made one through the circle the art invokedDavid RobinsonTruly Powerful PeopleUnited StatesVanessa maps discussions. She mapped the Transformational Presence Summit in Vught, Holland that Alan Seale and I facilitated. Her work was gorgeous, informative and inspiring. The dynamic of a group changes when there is an artist working in the room. When a group’s words and thoughts serve as the source of a communal image, something shifts. A loop forms: people visit the image during breaks. They take ownership of what emerges. The images inspire conversations and the conversations show up as images. The resonance amplifies the possibilities. Over the four days of our summit the mural began to stretch around the room. Soon, we were surrounded by our conversation; the four walls of the conference centre were changed by Vanessa’s work; we no longer sat in a generic space but occupied a room specific to us, designed for and by us, a chronicle of our unique wisdom. The art transformed us. We were 35 people from 11 countries made one through our intention and the circle that the art invoked.By David Robinson Center for Transformational Presence and Truly Powerful People
Vanessa did an incredible job ...transforming our explanations... and capturing the essence of our companyJusto Hidalgo24 SymbolsMadrid, SpainI hired Vanessa for a time-lapse video my company needed to create in record time because we were going to be featured in a prime-time television program in Spain. Vanessa did an incredible job by understanding what our business does, and being able to transform our explanations into a beautiful painting that captured the essence of the company and the service we offer. It was definitely the best possible decision we could have made, and we definitely recommend Vanessa’s art and experience.
Her listening is so profound people hear themselves in a different wayTim CasswellCreative ConnectionVanessa is a deeply resourceful person. She is passionate about passion, and listens intensely to people telling their story. She uses her art to draw out the underlying images and understandings in the individual or group she is working with. The quality of her listening is so profound that people hear themselves in a different way and access parts of themselves that they may have lost or forgotten. She is a valued team member of the Creative Connection collective. Vanessa has an infectious sense of humour, and a lightness of being that can turn any work into fun.
This is such a powerful process it allows participants to see what they have heardNathalie BayolParis, FranceVanessa has this unique ability to grasp and extract the core concept-idea from a presentation or a discussion then the incredible talent to translate it in images. This is such a powerful process that allows the participants to “see” what they have “heard” and thus not only adds another dimension for the comprehension of what has been shared but also deepens the exploration”.
The most beautiful and inspiring visualsJayne Garrett, Professional CoachUnited StatesA special thank you to Vanessa and Amber for creating the most beautiful and inspiring visuals of the wisdom shared. I consistently sat across from a powerful message and personal reminder which I carried back to the States and had framed. I’ve attached a photo of this brilliant artistry so you can see that each of you are with me daily in my office.
